I agree. Not only animals but plants, try getting rid of a prickly pear cactus. It will die when its ready. Or try getting rid of weeds that keep coming up in the sidewalk. Nature is more powerful than narrow minded Envior Nazis can even imagine. Given the opportunity, animal life especially, will survive. They somehow "know" they are threatened and move elsewhere. I realize this might be naive, but in my own tiny dot on the planet, I have witnessed it. We built an outbuilding, pier and beam, which has become the favorite habitat for lizards, underneath were it is cool. In the past we had seen an occasional lizard, but now they are plentiful. If they're not careful a passing hawk gets lunch. A sure win win.
