The $750,000 Government-Employee Pampering Scandal
First, the room rate of $85 per night should have alerted any semi-intelligent person that this trip was not a boondoggle. This rate is cheaper than most Day's Inn's in America.
Second, any semi-intelligent person should know that Phoenix in July is not a boondoggle. I doubt that anyone used the golf course or the pool in 120 degree heat. They went to Phoenix to get a nice meeting facility at a bargain price. Probably less than anywhere else in America.
