Frank156, as a Master of Divinity Student, the slavery that you refer to was not like the slavery seen in America. Many of these people were bond servants...people who in order to pay a debt became servants to the one holding the debt. Now, there were issues of slavery during the bible times but we must find out what the word meant in the context and the Greek or Hebrew word meant.
