This isn't about science, it's about morality. You know, morality, that set of beliefs that keeps people from doing stupid, self-destructive things, like, well, allowing children to become involved in sexual relationships and imposing on the right of parents to raise their children without government interference. There you have it, liberal ideology contorting science to control our behavior vs. time tested conservative morality. I'll take the latter, thank you.

And you are free to. They aren't saying you have to give your girl Plan B. You are the ones who want big government doing your job as a parent. Parents are free to set down rules and forbid things that are legal, like talking on the cell phone at the dinner table, or staying up past 10:30 on school nights, or using Plan B.

And how are our rules going to hold up against government saying the opposite?
It is government we are talking about, not just some friend at school.
You know, that government, with guns and police and jails for the parent who "abuse their children" by demanding discipline.
So this is the same freedom you can exercise when confronted with "your wallet or your life" - feel free to chose.

Intended for 1000laces not Alex, sorry. But what laces forgets is that the new order in DC wants those who understand why morals exist to pay for the blunders made by those who have no moral code. You don't work? No problem, the government (you and me) will pay you not to. You got knocked up because you are too stupid to know sex causes babies? No problem, the government will pay for it. You spent all your money on stereo gear and cars and now you have a disease but no insurance? No problem, the government will pay for it. Do you sort of get the idea?????

Democrats claim we have one party that upholds science and one that rejects it. When it comes to climate change, presidential polling, evolution and other topics, we are told, Republicans have no use for actual experts. They'd rather listen to Rep. Michele Bachmann, who claimed the HPV vaccine causes mental retardation.

But today, I'm glad to report the Democratic charge has been discredited. We don't have a pro-science party and an anti-science party. We have two anti-science parties.

That's the clear implication of the controversy over Plan B, the "morning-after" pill that is used to avert pregnancy after unprotected sex. The GOP and...
