Many of us are looking forward to 2010 and thinking about what resolutions we will make. We are glad this year is coming to a close, as 2009 will go down in history as a year of scandals, disgraces, and re-evaluations. This will be, for some, the year we never thought would end. AP writer Jeffrey Collins believed this concept so strongly that he subtitled a Christmas Eve article, “2009 is the Year of the Bad Decision in SC.”

Janus is more than just a Roman pagan god. He is alive and well, today, and people encounter him all the time.
He has two faces that face in complete opposite directions. Most of the time we call it talking out of both sides of your mouth. We've seen many of them in Washington D.C., but they're everywhere you go. The head with two faces actually revolves and you can watch it revolve. Confront him on something he said awhile back and you'll see the opposite face revolve around and say something completely different now. And it never ends, rather, the faces are always revolving.
