CBO finds massive costs for seniors with Ryan Medicare plan "In 2022, the first year the voucher would apply, CBO estimates that total health care expenditures for a typical 65-year-old would be almost 40 percent higher with private coverage under the Ryan plan than they would be with a continuation of traditional Medicare. CBO also finds that this beneficiary’s annual out-of-pocket costs would more than double—from $6,150 to $12,500. In later years, as the value of the voucher eroded, the increase in out-of-pocket costs would be even greater." http://www.cbpp.org/cms/index.cfm?fa=view&id=3453

first of all, CBO has said they cant accurately score it as they cant score the effects of competition, which we all know from experience, drives down costs. Second, its just a plan, the second one in fact..the first cut costs more but was made more moderate to get more buy in from the other liberal morons. Third, if we do nothing you wont have a medicare by that time. .60 cents of every dollar will go to pay for it. Under Obamacare, you will have no doctors, a panel deciding whether you get treatment and raising costs controlled by the government, not the market.

The mind reels:
