Any recall that Bill Clinton photo-op at the Grand Canyon? They had trees cut down and tossed over the side so they wouldn't obscure the picturesque chasm behind him. His biggest embarrassment was when he comically faked tears at the Ron Brown funeral. (Not to worry. The press covered for him.) And of course Al Gore such a colossal idiot that he got caught in that photo-op scandal . . . Floodgate. His campaign could’ve rode it out, but kept lying and kept the story alive.
