According to this article, Agenda 21 states, “Land…cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market." I searched all 40 chapters of the Agenda 21 documents and I did not find this phrase, nor even the word "ordinary." (The article provides a link to the actual Agenda 21 documents on the UN's web site.) I'm not unsympathetic to private property--I own some myself. But I'm starting to feel like this article is lying to me in order to score political points. If any can find this phrasing in the UN Agenda 21 documents, as opposed to someone's interpretation of them, then point it out to me. Until then, I don't trust this author.
