Excellent Bake Sale, John! It was half-baked "reverse discriminators" who enacted affirmative action... and that so many people were insulted by your racist bake sale clearly testifies how racist and unjust such laws are! May truth and justice prevail and may these repulsive laws finally be terminated.

EXCELLENT ARTICLE Mr. Sowell! The plain and ugly truth revealed, by a black man no less, makes this a must read for every American. Racism has indeed escalated since Obama took office. It's a shame that the first black president had to be Obama, as this truly could have been a great moment in history. I just hope that more people in the black community can get over their misplaced idol worship of Obama and one day advocate another black man-- one that's truly unbiased and qualified --to do the presidential office and the nation proud, and remedy racism rather than stoke the flames of injustice and reverse discrimination.

katepatate wrote, "The tolerant left has an ass-backward way of looking at everything.. I believe they are the illegal aliens amongst us" That was even better than Anorexic Ann's article. It sums up leftist liberals very succinctly... and the PC crowd in NYC along with the brain-dead crowd in Hollywood, such as Sean Penn & Danny Glover, should be deported to Venezuela, Iran, North Korea or any other great nation that they admire so much!

This is Ridiculous! MacArthur espoused some real major concerns for the US, basically the threat of nuclear war with China! Meanwhile, McCrystal's men make some derogatory "comments" and this some fools say warrants his resignation!!??? Absurd. If the big O wants to tongue lash McCrystal for allowing his men to speak street talk amid a reporter, fine, but anything else would be ridiculous. Grow up!
Ben, you have candidly addressed a taboo that has plagued this great nation and whites in particular for the last several decades. Whites have kowtowed to the blacks continual whining for reparations, affirmative action, quotas for far too long. All that whites have received for their generosity and self guilt, which is outdated and no longer relevant, is reverse discrimination and baseless accusations.

That blacks have risen in every field, far beyond their race's 12% minority status. How is it that other minority races in this country have not achieved the levels of blacks? Simple- Affirmative Action, Quotas and other extreme policies of Favoritism.

Let's face it... WHITES elected a BLACK president! So, this blame game...

GUILTY FIRST: BP has the WORST record of offenses and disasters in the oil industry. BP had 760 lawsuits filed against them as compared to two at Shell, and one at Exxon. BP was reckless; they used inferior technologies that were even rejected by their own experts. Why? To save 7-10 million dollars! Worse yet, Hayward could not offer one substantial answer at the Senate hearings. He claimed he did not know the decisions being made on the rig and had no insights about almost everything asked of him. And he’s at the helm? Astounding!

GUILTY SECOND: MMS must also be investigated. However, as any contractor knows, there are plenty of ways to cut corners and hide sins from inspectors that only snoop around for several hours and...

Cronkite and Me

Hey Bill, you were indeed lucky to have a father like yours.

I, like many Americans, grew up believing in Cronkite, since he was the only game in town. As a young boy and even as a young man I always had a feeling of respect and reverence for him UNTIL I realized how we all were hoodwinked by this excessively liberal, passive, naive, and at times idiotic man.

Yes, uncle Wally had many moments of lucidity, however, especially in his twilight years his lame critiques on just about everything were so far left and so pathetically unrealistic that he made me nauseous.

The saddest thing is that when uncle Wally passed away rather than feeling the loss of a respected uncle I actually felt a sigh of...

Why Women Won

All-4-USA Wrote: Jun 13, 2010 10:17 AM
Mr. Morris, your hypothesis based upon a poll and some logic "seems" to be true. Generally speaking, the notion that men are better at doing battle and women better at education or not being corrupt is a stereotype ingrained in the majority of people, not all, but certainly most. But you did not ask "Why is this so?"

Well. men have a centuries-long tradition of valiantly fighting wars and women, especially as mothers, are seen as the ones that ground men, and are more loving and fair. However, the reality is that just because women have had a limited role in history does not negate the fact that when put under a microscope we see that women in power do act like men, and many times even worse.

From ancient Rome where...

Liquidating the Empire

CORRECTION... Empire building began well before James Polk's Manifest Destiny.

Our great Founding Father Thomas Jefferson really started the ball rolling with his UNconstitutional Louisiana Purchase!

Yes, the Constitution was not meant to be some untouchable godlike decree from God, but rather a sound starting point, as most of the Founders knew change and unforeseen circumstances were inevitable.
