This morning on Bennett's program the host wondered aloud as to why the Republicans refuse to call anything by its rightful name and take advantage of a situation that, again, has been dropped right into their laps. I know why: they, like the wallflowers at a middle school dance, still believe that if they say and do all the right things, the Popular Kids will finally let them into the club; the media will love them, their opponents will 'respect' them, and they'll be invited to all the 'right' parties and events.
