Nam 65-66-the Romans eventually crumbled-and their Empire lasted nearly a thousand years. It crumbled from within-making them easy pickings for the barbarians without. We're on that same road. We won't last another 6 months as a representative Republic if these arrogant, power-grabbing and constitution-ignoring clowns aren't sent home with their ears ringing and their bottoms thoroughly warmed in November, and their replacements turn out to have linguini spines. They are elected to serve us, not the other way 'round. Do you think we're being best served at this point?

When Lame Ducks Bite

This year, for the first time since modern budgeting began, the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives has simply refused to pass a budget resolution. Presumably, the failure even to take up a budget would free plenty of time for the Congress to complete the rest of its work.
