Upon thinking of someone using “smokeless tobacco,” you may immediately think: a vile, disgusting habit with no redeeming social value. That, it turns out, is only half-true. It may be vile and disgusting with a good deal of social value.

Not in an absolute sense. Dipping snuff or chewing tobacco can lead to nicotine addiction, gum disease and even oral cancer, while scaring off potential employers and romantic partners in droves. But in relative terms -- relative to smoking -- it could be a boon to individual and public...












Tobacco Truth Gets Smoked
I agree with the poster who said you're either gonna get cancer or you're not. A friend of mine succumbed to lung cancer; she was not a smoker and since she worked in a smoke-free office nobody can say it was caused by smoking. She is gone just the same.
Cancer is nothing less than life run amok. Until we can figure out how to create life we won't ever beat out cancer entirely. I don't believe that will ever happen, for we'd have to be God to do it, but I sure am grateful to live in a country whose medical system guarantees the highest cancer survival rates.
