Most private religious schools DO forbid the wearing of costmes that represent demonic forces or creatures, since by definition those things are of Satan. That said I am truly very sorry your nieces and nephews weren't permitted their trick-or-treat; that to my mind is taking it a lot too far, for who but a warped individual is actually going to think a four-yr old Dracula is truly a demon in disguise? No doubt those kids will grow up thinking that even playing cards is asking for trouble, or they will reject Christ altogether as being a legalistic killjoy. :(

Last year a child showed up at our door dressed as a head on a platter, complete with table. His was one of the most creative costumes I'd ever seen. As one who isn't too...
