Don't the new pols have to be sworn in and initiated first? Or do they just skip those steps if it's a Dem who got elected?

Next November can't come soon enough...my only fear is that even if we conservatives do take back the House those elected won't repeal the whole bill and we'll still have to live with much of it.
On MSNBC Saturday morning, Democratic Majority Leader Steny Hoyer stated that he and Pelosi will have the necessary 218 votes to pass their govt-run healthcare bill by early-afternoon/early evening.
