Race and Economics

In the early 90's I went out with friend, black, a co-worker. We got into a debate. I told him that affirmative action had to go ... its time had passed ... good idea initially but high time it was eliminated. He got mad. I told him blacks had to drop the giant chip on their shoulder and 'let it go' ... that the race-baiting would only lead to an eventual RISE in racism as white folks got 'fed up' with the never ending victim game and false accusations. He got more mad. We never spoke again as he'd bought the entire Jesse Jackson race-baiting program and the Liberal mantra of victimization, even though HE was doing just great. Incidentally, I'd done volunteer work in South Carolina as a youth, met hundreds if not thousands of...

I wish there were a lot more folks like Dr. Williams and Dr. Sowell ... these two write outstanding articles every single week.

A Post-Racial President?

As the honorable Thomas Sowell so perfectly points out, our president is ANYTHING BUT POST-RACIAL. He is in fact, the 'Commander-in-CHIP' as in 'CHIP on the shoulder.' I see folks, black and white and asian, trying to get along and simply live ... I also see the never ending parade of race-baiters on the left ruining everyones attempts to just get along and enjoy each other and 'get over it' which is horribly overdue. But the left WILL NOT LET GO, they continue to PROMOTE RACISM DISGUISED AS COMPASSION AND CARING BUT IT IS ALL PHONY AS A THREE-DOLLAR BILL. Phuck the LEFT, they suck.
I'm 51 and have watching the evolution of Beavis and Butthead since departing high-school in 1975. Walter Williams once again puts the bayonet right into the heart of the issue.

College grads today are idiots, with the exception of those in 'hard' sciences where you MUST learn something. Anything 'soft' like journalism or liberal arts is just utter crap.

I speak with 20-35 year olds all the time ... the ignorance is ASTOUNDING. Then there are the FEW who are freaking brilliant and the only hope for the futre. Of course, on my end you've got the Boomer-Buttheads who voted for O'Butthead in the last election cycle out of guilt and I avoid speaking to the fools in order to keep my blood pressure down.

The U.S.A. has...

Why a Bill of Rights?

I'm encouraging everyone I know to start learning about the founding and the founders. Mr. Williams article is illuminating for me, thanks for the education!

The American electorate is to blame for Che-Guebama in the White House. For too long the public has been willfully ignorant, puposely lazy, and generally apathetic in the face of ongoing govt. stupidity ... it is high time for a drastic change.

Step 1) FIX or DUMP the public school system, which is just about useless, if not dangerous.
