I work 24 hour shifts, three to four days a week, in a level 3 home for developmentally disabled adult women. I have been a DSP for three years. I also have an adult daughter with developmental disablities as a result of a brain tumor and consequent treatment , at the age of five. I think this all qualifies me to share my opinion on the "help" that liberals have given to the disabled. The women I work with are developmentally about 4-10 years old. I want to know what Washington is going to do about all the "risk takers" in our country and the profound impact they have on health care. Anyone who gets in a car, rides a bike (with or without the mandated helmet), crosses streets, does yard work, runs or works out in a gym, skis, swims, rides a skate board, fights in a war (or overseas contingency operation for you libs)etc etc runs a risk of injury or death.
