The only way for a church that has abandoned God for the doctrines of men to survive is to promise something other than the fruit of the Spirit. Instant healing, prosperity, demonstrations of attention getting gifts have worked for many churches. You have to make people feel good with never a consequence no matter how egregious the sinful activites practiced by the members. A sedate service with no tingles up the leg will never survive.

True however my catechism from the Low Episcopal church doesn't deny the Gifts, just kind of sets them aside as a lot of the main line churches do. Unfortunately the church I was raised, confirmed and married in has left the Truth to worship a lie..by Truth I mean Christ and Him Crucified not the denomination's doctrine of today. A lot of the modern theologian/bishops/minister-priest haven't wanted to touch the Gifts of the Spirit and when Dennis Bennett announced he was Full Gospel he was transferred to a failing mission church that GREW very fast once he took over.

Episcopalian leaders continue to guide their denomination into the abyss—and no doubt, the Presbyterians (PCUSA) will soon follow.

As reported in the Huffington Post, the Episcopal denomination’s General Convention voted this week to make it illegal to “discriminate against anyone.” Specifically, that means it is now illegal to “. . . bar from the priesthood people who were born into one gender and live as another or who do not identify themselves as male or female.”
