I wonder if Shlafly's beef is over the fact that the child is not being raised Catholic, her religion. Children can be confused by being exposed to two religions and raised in both. That is the part that Schlafly does not want to undertand. A Jewish child, ideally. should not attend Catholic religious services and vice versa.
