Obama did not "assume the role of a prophet" unless you are of the belief that simply calling out what you believe is right or wrong and drawing on our biblical tradition is assuming the role of a prophet. If so, it doesn't take much to stray into prophecy based on your definition.
As for your argument that morality does not end at the sea shore and we should provide health insurance to all the world's people if we're looking at this from a moral perspective, that's ridiculous on so many levels. Just on a biblical level though, when God gave his laws to the people of Israel, he gave a moral code for charity within the nation. Of course, you can and should do charitable deeds toward people in other countries, but the model provided by...

This week, President Barack Obama claimed his version of health care reform is "a core ethical and moral obligation," beseeching religious leaders to promote his government-run scheme. Questioning the patriotism of opponents, apparently, wasn't gaining the type of traction advocates of "reform" had hoped.
