1. unemployment hovering around 8% (at best) for nearly four straight years. 2. sixteen trillion dollars in debt, and soon to rise again. 3. credit downgrade. 4. government "management" of healthcare, the full economic impact of which has yet to be felt. 5. a Middle East foreign policy in tatters, and four dead Americans, with subsequent political cover-up. and YOU think conservatives have nothing to be alarmed about? You need to stay at the Tribune and write hand-wringing columns about how tighter gun control will solve your city's atrocious murder rate, and stop contaminating a conservative forum like TownHall with your apologist liberal horse manure!
On Wednesday morning, sober conservatives pondered an election defeat, swallowed their disappointment and turned their attention to things that truly affect their lives, such as work and family. But there are other conservatives, who were profoundly affected by their collision with reality.

Upon learning of Barack Obama's victory, they envisioned themselves in one of two movies: "Man on a Ledge" or "Braveheart." The first group fell into utter despair. The second chose furious defiance. All agree the apocalypse is at hand. The argument is only about what to do next.
