The most interesting element of the Super Bowl wasn't the Super Bowl. It was an advertisement for the Audi A3 TDI. The commercial depicted uniformed officials arresting Americans for, among other offenses, asking for plastic bags at the grocery, throwing away batteries, failing to compost an orange peel and installing incandescent light bulbs. "Green Police," announces one of the green-clad fascisti. "You picked the wrong day to mess with the ecosystem, plastic boy." The Green Police Take Over the Country
Mercury light bulbs are my purchase, but, they are made in China, dangerous to the environment when broken or disposed of and a type of bully action by the neatly coined 'Greenstapo'.
Electricity, to run those cars, is generated by coal or oil and so there is a net loss in energy savings and non-pollution, because every change, from one form of energy, to another, has some inefficiency. That is why a light bulb heats up.
I was not amused by the Audi commercial, as European life is filled with people that are, rather, like the Soup Nazi.
