Assisted suicide is still illegal in most of the United States. Progressives cannot possibly be expected to hold to their oath of office, as the end justifies the means. So they are turned from defending the Constitution, as they swore, to winning, politically. A tactic any child on a playground, with underdeveloped ethics of youth, can grasp.
