Let's not pretend: 0bama WANTS this to get out of hand. The longer the border-crossing and busing and camps go on, the more pressure it brings to bear on the evil, heartless Conservatives, who obviously hate children. He and the Dems see the border-crossers, juvenile or adult, as votes and agitators. 0bama is courting them, not Perry, not the Conservatives, not anyone who disagrees with him on anything. The "crises" is - to him - an opportunity and the last thing he wants to do is to accept the premise that there is anything manipulative or inhumane about it -- Plausible Deniability. He has nothing to gain from "solving" the problem, in any way other than amnesty, and everything to gain by allowing the crisis to worsen. At least that's how he sees it. If the reports are true, and terrible diseases such as TB are running through the camps, it may blow back on him, but I think even that he just sees as more pressure on those who would "do nothing." The "something" always involves putting these kids being used as bargaining chips on gov't assistance and giving them citizenship, engraved with Democrat names, starting with 0bama's.
Yep, the evil House Republicans "slashed" the IRS budget by $395 Million, to 10.95 Billion. This was in response to their targeting and harassment of Conservative groups and individuals, their multi-million-dollar "conferences," and general bloat and bureaucratic inefficiencies. It's still a big damned pile of money. Enough to pay Lois Lerner not to work and Koskinen to sneer at Congress and stonewall. There is NO amount of money enough to render bureaucracy efficient; it always has the exact opposite effect, in conformance with Parkinson's Law.
Ps. Byron, Please, in future, at least ask that question, in person, for an answer, or in your article, to make it clear that these guys didn't even specify WHO they were actually criticizing. It matters.
This is a pretty meaningless statement from the Governors (or this article, if better data was available?): They hate the job that "Congress" is doing. Cool. WHICH Congresspeople are they talking about? If it's Christie, he's probably hating on Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul, in particular, because they stood up to Obama, which then looked a mite hopeless and now looks like they were the giants among termites. Some may be identifying John Boehner and Mitch McConnell as the appeasnicks, which is accurate, but we don't get that little detail. So we really have no statement of principle from these alleged "Chief Execs," no Mission Statement, other than to take wild shots at an easy target and brag about their job title. I am not impressed. Not with the "statement" and not with the reporting. To defeat the Left and to defeat ALL Big Government politicians, the Right has to define itself clearly, as the respecters of our Constitutional republic, and dedicated to restoring LIMITED government, the elimination of mountains of regulatory and legislative oppression against free individuals. Not a few tweaks, some teary-eyed sop about Family Values, not a "better" government healthcare solution, or "better" school standards program, etc.

Thanks for that, Ross83! I'd forgotten that excellent scene. And, yes, good point. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7mIy97_rlo

Do you watch MSNBC? Do any of the other sane people on this thread watch MSNBC? I don't. The only thing we've likely seen from MSNBC recently is Bashir's Palin Bashing. There's your answer for why he is still employed. Their advertising is, essentially, Conservatives reaming them a new one after the latest idiotic rant from Bashir, Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, or another of their finest lights. Controversy is all that keeps them hanging on. They don't have enough of an audience, otherwise, even to justify turning on the camera.
