John, you have great ideas, many from my own notes. I'd also eliminate the IRS, and replace the income tax with a point of sale or consumption tax. My tax code would fit on one page or less. Basically water, food, clothing, one home, heating and cooling costs for that home, medicine and medical care would be exempt. Everything else would have a fixed Federal sales tax applied, no exceptions. And by constitutional amendment, Congress would be prohibited from approving any exceptions. Thank you so much for having your administration shed light on Fox News Channel’s biased agenda. I watched with interest on the last two Sundays as Ms. Dunn, Mr. Emanuel and Mr. Axelrod made the rounds of my favorite news channels, ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN, and explained how FNC is broadcasting “opinion journalism masquerading as news”, that they are “not really a news organization”, how they are a “Republican Party mouthpiece”, and how they have a “perspective” and a “point of view”. Given these problems with FNC, I was elated that you are going to “treat them as you would an opponent” – that is until I decided to just check out what that evil FNC is up to.

I watch you on FNC, read your columns, and respect your work. However, I respectfully submit that you should leave legal opinions to attorneys. Congratulations, John!!! I am an avid viewer, reader and fan. But it is with mixed emotions that I read your announcement. On the one hand, I am sad that you are leaving the network where you had the eyes and ears of liberals with an opportunity to enlighten them, but on the other hand I am also happy that you are moving to my favorite network. I do have some thoughts about what I would like to see on your new program, but I'll forward them in a separate e-mail.

I probably wasn't consistent, but it was my intent to use "government" to refer to government generically and to use "Federal government" when referring specifically to the Federal government.
