Hollywood: Land of Libertarianism

It would be foolish for me to pay money to watch anything that makes me feel worse about who I am - a proud American wife, mother and child of God. Films with political agendas - or points of view, whatever you would like to call them - that aim to make me "think differently" about my chosen roles in life - whether liberal, libertarian, libertine, objectivist - are not worth my time. Wouldn't you agree? Hollywood does not need defending. They can take the criticism or ignore it. My bet is on the latter.

Actually, that’s kind of my view, too.  And equally to the point, it’s also the view of a very large part of Hollywood.  That might be news to certain people who pride themselves on never going to the movies, but it’s indicative of a tendency that a great many readers of this distinguished website have been misled into ignoring.  Allow me to digress.
