I was not happy with much of the social programs that President Bush and the Republican Congress did in their time in power - they forgot who they were supposed to be and who put them in power. I beleive that Bush's poor favorable ratings were not due to just the war, but because he alienated the Republican base with his spending policies. I hope that the Republicans in office start to "get it" and change their ways if they regain power. But, I don't hold my breath. Bye the bye, I am a registered Republican and have been so for 30 years.
