Candidates Should be Talking About China

I didn't realize how far China has penetrated into U.S. jobs and investments. However, the answer is for the people to stand up for the vision of America envisioned by our Founding Fathers and start becoming real Americans again. We can start by voting out Pres Obama and his democrat progressives next year. Then keep the republicans feet to fire to roll back spending etc.
Angel, the only one I know who comes close to fitting that description is former Gov Palin. She also comes the closest to fitting the attributes called out by the Founding Fathers as described in the 5000 year leap by Dr Skousen (my opinion not his).
Only one thing is certain at this point. We have a lot of great candidates but each with their challenges, as Rove has said, and no clear leader in the field at this point. I expect to see a good primary race during which someone will rise to the top. How that sorts out will also depend upon the economy and what Pres Obama does between now and then. The media will try to ensure that former Gov Palin is nailed to the cross but that won't matter when the time comes and we see who and what surfaces. Only a fool would vote for Obama in 2012 and the dems are hoping for a lot of them. Let's hope we, at least, get a solid conservative republican congress (house and senate) in 2012.
Velma still supports Pres Obama and he supports unemployment - sounds consistent to me.

Don't know about your stats but wonder where you were when Carter was in office. One of the things I remember about that administration was the runaway interest rates. Home mortgage rates were in the double digits moving toward 18%.

Sounds familiar. Back in the early 50's when I was in highschool, the evil was the birthrate. At the then current birthrate, the prediction was that in 20 years the planet would overpopulate and starve to death because we could not provide sufficient food to sustain such a hugh population. So, we all died of starvation many years ago. Same nonesense we hear today for different reasons, all of which forget to consider that actions result in counteractions which are never figured into the doomsday predictions. Besides, while we must be good stewarts of the land,I seriously doubt that the Lord made a plantet that would not accomodate man's population growth.

Obama: Outright Evil, or Simply Wrong?

Michael, it seems to me that you are "hoping" that all the signs aside, Pres Obama will not lead us down the path of former socialists/dictators. Hope is not a course of action. You fail to show why we shouldn't be concerned about his actions, his friends, his appointments etc. Hopefully :) you are correct and we will right the ship starting in the Nov 2010 elections.

are "Americans" who are tired of the current political climate and want change - change back to fiscal responsibility and traditional values. They are republicans, libertarians, democrats, independents who may not all agree on every issue but do agree that this nation will not endure under the current administration and the progressives in congress. The biggest failure regarding "change' so far is President Obama but the biggest failure as "Americans" is the main stream media. These lemmings don't get it and keep trying to change America for the worst. They don't even know they are doing that because they apparently don't know the constitution and what this Nation stands for.

Would we elect a marxist as president? Would we elect a congress that would trash the constitution and implement socialized medicine, destroy the economy in the name of saving the environment and run up a deficit designed to destroy this nation? Would we disarm to show the world that peace can be achieved - oops that suggestion was already used in the 1930s.
