Obama and his 'Enemy' Fetish

The Obama administration's efforts to stifle dissent & hard questions by FoxNews is reminiscent of Fascist regimes from the 20th Century. It's eye-opening to see Obama's reflex toward those who disagree & point out fallacies in his policies is to stamp out the free exercise of 1st Amendment rights. He's revealing a very thin skin. He's never managed anything of consequence before, so this is the 1st time that the buck stops with him. He's clearly not used to accountability and he's apparently not used to getting his way. Let's hope Fox, talk radio & bloggers keep the heat up, so that more Americans will WAKE UP!

...."It’s actually refreshing to be embarrassed for the man rather than disgusted with him."

I could agree with this statement IF Obama had demonstrated some humility (and ability to see reality) by politely declining the award. And it would have been a Win-Win. Liberals would still bow before his wonderfulness & conservatives would have applauded this move. He showed his complete lack of humility by accepting AND his naivete by not seeing the political points to be gained by all if he had declined. Novice. Feckless. That's our President.

Thanks for an informative column. By and large, cultural conservatives view history & the social landscape through the prism of human imperfection. Without getting into my Christian worldview, it is EMPIRICALLY obvious that human nature is fallible, at times irrational, and frequently shortsighted. It astounds me that liberals still believe in the perfectability of Man, and cannot see the past & potential consequences of so many of their ideas, programs & policies.
