The whole premise of Hagelin's column is based on the knuckle-dragging notion that Mormons - members of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints - are not Christians. We most certainly ARE Christians - we live, eat and breathe Jesus Christ, and as His disciples try to follow His path every day. I wish fundies would disabuse themselves of the notion they have the right to decide who is or is not a Christian. Get over yourselves!

It is by GRACE alone that you are saved, not by works, for it is a gift of God. Read Romans over and over again and you will know why so many do not consider Mormonism to be Christian because it is of works.

i can call myself a stone, but that doesn't mean that I am a stone. Just because you use the name of Jesus Christ in the name of your organization doesn't mean that you don't mis-interpret His teachings. Do you, and your church, believe that it is only through the Mormon church that you can be saved? The answer, if you are following the founder of your church, is in the affirmative. But Christ himself said that it is ony through Him that we can be saved. I don't have to "decide" who is or is not a Christian -- that has been done by Christ himself.

And Christ himself declared members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be without a doubt Christians. If I am so mistaken on this. Then feel free to educate me on why you Christians were not able to exterminate Mormons when you started to back then. You forced us Mormons out of America but look what that got you. We became American citizens again. Also doesn't it state somewhere in Christianity to not worship symbols ? All that archeological evidence to back the bible can be seen as symbols to be worshiped that GOD exists. Mormons worship GOD without all that , like GOD says to do. Go look it all up and feel free to blast me if I'm wrong.

"And Christ himself declared members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be without a doubt Christians." I don't believe the burden of proof is on the evangelical to disprove; it is on you to back up with objective fact. And "I" never forced you out of anything, any more than I ever owned a slave. No "blasting" of you necessary or implied.

Joseph Smith decided that himself when he introduced another gospel, Are you even aware of the differences!
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

It is clear from the Apostle Paul’s writing that we are to pray for all leaders in government, including those who may not be Christians. But can we vote for them?
