When the US starts to pay Israel the same attention it pays Singapore (roughly the same population, but with a larger GDP and a larger per capita GDP), when I am satisfied Israel is no longer helping the PLA arm itself, then Israel will become as interesting to me as Rwanda, but since US pays as much attention to Israel as it does China and since it treats Israel as a dependency of the United States or a reverse tributary state and of course the spying by Israel and the modernization of the PLA by Israel, it is thus an important topic to me.

Since when do you get to decide what topics I find of interest or what topics I can comment on?

Israel's leftists are lonely these days. This was the central thrust of an opinion column in Tuesday's New York Times authored by Aluf Benn, editor-at-large of the left-wing Haaretz newspaper.

Benn's article, "Why Won't Obama Talk to Israel?" was a plaintive call for US President Barack Obama to woo the Israeli public. As Benn put it, "Next time you're in the neighborhood, Mr. President, speak to us directly."
