The point was to get paid. To get paid by ACORN you have to register x amount of people, so there was great motivation to register many many people no matter if they could vote legally or ever would vote--that was the point of registering them. many of the street level workers were homeless people and the like and they didn't care, they just wanted to get paid.

And no--it wasn't alright.

I have an idea--repeal motor voter, make it illegal to fill out paper work for anyone to register them to vote, make it illegal to send out absentee ballots or registeration forms by anyone including political parties.

Want to register, go down to the court house like it was done for 200 years before Motor Voter and the like).
