Abortion was legal in the US before Roe v. Wade, so even if (as the SCOTUS should have) declared Roe moot, there would have still been abortion and there still would be abortion and since there are not pass laws in the US, few women would be prevented from getting one. If doctors can fly from Minnesota to North Dakota to provide abortions, women can fly from North Dakota to Minnesota.

The US is not a direct democracy either. I don't recall a vote being held over if blacks should have the right to attend public schools with whites or on interracial marriage either.
