Are you serious? Where are you living that you have no taxation?
The Dept of Defense has been buying a considerable number of them. http://www.stripes.com/news/military-adding-more-electric-vehicles-to-fleet-1.184928 The military is so fixated on making showy "green" decisions; it unbelievably aggravates me. The last installation we were stationed at, the soldier support center reserved the front rows in the parking lot for "hybrid, electric or compact cars." The spaces were no smaller than than the rest of the spaces. I parked my minivan there. ;)
Actually, evolution cannot be "proven" scientifically any more than creationism can. Both theories involve something that happened in the past that cannot be replicated. You can choose to believe one or the other, but it is impossible to prove either of them. Besides, how do you know that dinosaurs and humans weren't around at the same time? The ancient written and artistic descriptions of dragons and other extinct creatures make it more likely that they coexisted than that they didn't.
You have to remember though that Southern Baptists, in common with most other large groups of people, don't partake in group think, and many find the SBC leadership to be too liberal for their tastes. In VA for example, many SBC churches also become member churches of the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia for that very reason. Besides, if you think that many Protestant Christians, especially those on the more conservative end of things, aren't disturbed by this President's trampling underfoot of the first amendment, you're wrong. The best Obama really can hope for is that this amnesty proclamation hasn't added to the dislike some liberal Baptists hold him in. :)
