Here is one reason some do not get mad. It use to be if you lost your job, you'd have to wait in a long line with many other people to get a 13 week unemployment check. Then after 13 weeks, if you would have to go back in that long line and prove you were looking for work. Most people were, because they knew their benefits would run out and they would be SOL. Now, you go once, file for extension after extension, up to 99 weeks. Then after that, you simply have a doctor sign a note and...bam...disabled and now eligble to collect social security. Also, when one was out of work, they might get food stamps. But workers back then had pride and were embarrased to apply or use them. Now our government gives pretty much anybody who asks, (cont)

(Cont) a bridge card, that works just like a credit card. They took the embarrasment and the shame of being jobless away OR in other words...took away the reason to be mad.
