"Bazooka's [sic] have not existed anywhere but in a museum totally disarmed and not able to be used since 1960..." You COMPLETELY missed the point, besides, lots of people enjoy collecting historical weapons. "I know of no 'right-wing extremist' who thinks he or she should be allowed to carry a firearm on board an aircraft." Good for you - I know several and many people commenting on THIS board are very vocal about the same thing. I'm not behind Senator Feinstein and I don't support an assault weapons ban nor do I support the 10-round magazine limit. I do support a functional universal-background check system and tight laws regarding the transfer of firearms.
This article is written based on a false premise - that those pushing for gun control are pushing for "gun elimination." This is not the case. Sure, there are a few left-wing extremists who say "Ban all guns," but not the people that the author is talking about, such as Obama or the various Democratic governors. There are also a few right-wing extremists who think they should be allowed to walk into a concert with a bazooka or onto a plane with a loaded handgun, but we're not discussing them, are we?

You need to read the article again (which was deliberately written to be ambiguous and inflammatory). The meeting was in the common area of a dorm suite, not in a private room. Even then, I doubt your assertion would hold up. Rollins College is a private school, they can set pretty much any rules they like.

Apparently you are the one whose knowledge of the First Amendment is lacking. Rollins College is a private institution - the protections you speak of simply don't apply here.

The First Amendment has nothing to do with this.

Rollins College is a private institution, so the Constitutional protection you are alluding to does not apply.
