Would Obama Be President If He Made These Five Campaign Promises?

Whatever we're planning for, I would be mindful of one thing: unless he's far more ignorant than I would ever guess, Obama wants chaos. No one with an ounce of exposure to the federal government and federal revenue could possibly fail to understand that the current fiscal situation is unsupportable. Social Security and Medicare are already nearly past the level that our economy (even in boom times) can support. An additional $200 billion annually from the "public option" alone takes us past the tipping point, never mind the costs of cap and trade should that ever be enacted.
