We Pay Them to Lie to Us

Thanks for the link. I did come across that story and I read it yesterday.

What was amazing to me was that this was the source of Rick's complaints and yet he was arguing that Fox News claimed that there was a 3.5 trillion dollar deficit when in fact it did no such thing. I kept thinking he must have been referring to another source. I still resist believing that liberals will read a report and come away with something that was never said. They are getting intellectually lazier and lazier, and it is still hard for me to keep up with this fact. The liberals I argued with 6 years ago would never have made such an egregious mistake. But then, they would also have made their own arguments, provided citations, and provided their links...

When you knowingly pay someone to lie to you, we call the deceiver an illusionist or a magician. When you unwittingly pay someone to do the same thing, I call him a politician.

President Obama insists that health care "reform" not "add a dime" to the budget deficit, which daily grows to ever more frightening levels. So the House-passed bill and the one the Senate now deliberates both claim to cost less than $900 billion. Somehow "$900 billion over 10 years" has been decreed to be a magical figure that will not increase the deficit.

It's amazing how precise...
