Government Scientist Gets Fired for Telling the Truth

Global warming(climate change) is mans effort to control the temperature of the earth. Not gonna happen; especially if the USA is the only country to buy into it. Europe can't afford to and Asia, Africa, China and the rest have no interest. All the US is going to do is raise taxes on energy and take away freedom.

You have to be kidding. You're saying that "man" cannot do anything about what happens in China? For real? "Global warming" is the accidental and unwelcome side effect of man's conquest of fire reaching the scale it has recently reached. We, we Americans, and the Chinese, and the Europeans etc., are digging and drilling and burning a lot of coal and oil. The resulting CO2 accumulates in the atmosphere and makes the earth warmer. To say that "man" has no control of this fact of nature, to wit, that humans burn coal and oil, is just topsy turvey.

Just ONE volcano can put out more c02 then ALL human activity. By the way dougy, why does the c02 satellite see 80% of the c02 emanating from the jungle regions, NOT the industrial regions?

The 'link' between CO2 and temperature changes has been debunked.

Cap and Trade in England has not reduced a single emission, but they have collected trillions in taxes. Your point is well taken. There is no reason to raise prices for us based on a dubious theory when no one else is going to do it. No surprise we are not competing well on the world market when we keep handicapping ourselves with taxes and regulations based on a theory that even if true the US will not be able to affect by itself.

Not true that "no one else" is doing anything about global warming. Germany has already reached 20-some percent of electricity it gets from wind and solar. Will you now say that Germany is uncompetitive?
Tyler105 Wrote: Jan 23, 2013 11:41 AM
Germany's population is a quarter that of the US, and less than 4% the size of the US. Completely incomparable.

Secondly, there is not a single wind farm anywhere in the world that will pay itself off, economically or ecologically.

Furthermore, there is not enough ample wind resources in America to provide the general population, especially in urban environments, with adequate energy. Where it does occur tends to be large open, unpopulated expanses; technology to store and transfer energy from there, to where it could be used is extremely poor.

Alternative energy is only suitable when decentralized and used in highly localized (even micro) environments.

Something’s amiss at the Department of Interior. Eight government scientists were recently fired or reassigned after voicing concerns to their superiors about faulty environmental science used for policy decisions. Which begs the question, “Are some government agencies manipulating science to advance political agendas?”

Fictional book authors operate in a convenient world, unconstrained by facts and experiences of the real world. The antithesis of works of fiction are scientific findings solely based on provable facts and experience. For agenda-driven environmental science, facts can sometime prove inconvenient. It’s far easier to advance an agenda with agreeable science, even if that means creating science...
