Banning ANY guns will not protect the people. Why is that so hard for the Liberals to understand? ALL it will do is create MORE unarmed targets for ARMED criminals. You want to stop the mentally infirm from killing? Re-open and re-staff the asylums and re-admit the mentally infirm people that were freed with only a prescription to "keep them sane" when the ACLU got them released by convincing the Courts their "human rights" were being violated when they were institutionalized for the public's safety.
Eliminate "GUN FREE ZONES". If you don't feel that's enough,train and arm a few Teachers in each School,and even train and arm figures of authority in other places groups of people go. (Malls,stores,subway stations and railroad depots,etc.
