1. Demographic shift ... the "protestant work ethic" is culturally dead for 50% of the population (and growing). 2. The popular media is essentially a branch of the democrat party. 3. We let those with no skin in the game (18 year olds seriously?) and those who can be bought (net takers) vote. 4. There are simply too many people who prefer the security of slavery to the promise of liberty. Far too many see the role of govt as that of equalizer than as the protector of basic right.
