The Campaign for "Free" College

I was never FREE, there were fees involved and the "healthy" surplus in the State treasury helped. Back when California was a "Golden State." This is why the "hippie" and communist inspired Leftist movements took root in the "composts of the University of California system. If you aren't out $$$ for skipping classes, you don't care about the costs. When you aren't paying $$$ for the privilege to attend classes in buildings, well you just "occupy" and turn classrooms, labs, offices and libraries into squatters villages.

One of the auxiliary bishops for the U.S. Military Archdiocese was the son of a Cristeros, who witnessed a what the Mexican Government did. My base was within his area of responsibility, and we both went numerous time on the Military Pilgrimage to Lourdes. That was where he told a group of us about his background and how he came to be a priest. At the time, I thought this was all "history" and could never happen again. But it isn't history, and not only can it happen again; it is happening again.
Words fail, hearts break, those of us that have served, those that have lost family members and friends have walked this path before you. We hold you, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, wives, and children, friends and comrades in arms, we hold you in our hearts and lift our prayers.
Better a Mormon with real executive experience than a Muslim* with none! *According to Islamic teachings, if your father was Muslim then YOU are also a Muslim. PBO's father was a Muslim from Kenya...
There were many thousands of decisions that went into the final decision to close. Many, because of the micro-management (like requiring "minority owned," District located, contractors) for facilities management and repairs, (that took the money and performed NO WORK). The area surrounding the facilities became unsafe, at any hour for both the troops assigned there, and for those that received medical treatment, and their families. The area also became adverse to ANY expansion of the campus and facilities. The purpose of Walter Reed was to provide the highest quality medical care to wounded and injured military person, not provide a slush fund or cash cow for District politicos
First place to CUT FUNDING, programs like this!

Yep! Our son might be going over by the end of this year, or another tour to Afghanistan.

Jon Stewart of the Daily Show had Sgt. 1st Class Leroy Petry on last night, one of the few times I have not seen Jon Stewart (Jonathan Leibowitz) in full Leftist comic mode. Hey, one can always hope and pray that the "libs" do finailly "get a clue." I'm all for "baby steps" like last night. Like two other MOH wears I have had the privilege to meet, "I was only doing what I am supposed to do" May G-d bless Sgt. 1st Class Leroy Petry and his family, and all those that serve or have family in "harm's way,"
