But the whole point (I believe) of McConnell's plan is this: increasing the debt and reneging on real cuts will be on record for the American people to see. In the next election cycle, whoever runs against Obama can say it plainly: when faced with default, Obama and the Democrats VOTED for more spending and more debt. It's brilliant.

I was actually going to buy her new book until she started this recent rant against libertarians. Her sycophantic enthusiasm for Romney last time around and Christie this time around are really turning me off. I saw her arguing against lifting prohibition the other day and her arguments were paper thin. Like most establishment Repubs, Ann would rather restrict freedom for fear of what might happen if people are left to their own devices. No reasonable libertarian would advocate abolishing marriage laws tomorrow. This is just hyperbole. Libertarians advocate pushing back against the State, especially the Fed. Asking if the Fed really has any business being involved in what is a traditionally a religious/cultural institution is a valid...

There is absolutely no evidence to support this contention. "Allowing states to determine their own marijuana policy flies in the face of Supreme Court precedent." And this is a bad thing because...?
