Yeah, it's kind of like those bootleggers getting kids hooked on booze. Oh wait, that never happens because selling alcohol is legal.
I was a life-long conservative until I woke up some years ago and became libertarian. Before that, I could never understand the criticisms that were always leveled against the 'religious right' or whatever you want to call that wing of the Republican party. Now I read nonsense like this and I get it.
Another clown we should just ignore. The only way he can stay relevant at all is to make outrageous comments every day. No one watches him, so if we ignored him he might just fade away. Wouldn't that be nice?
I really wish they would stop bringing up this clown. Wouldn't it be better to just ignore him? Maybe he'd fade into obscurity.

Wow, it's really interesting to be a libertarian-who-used-to-identify-as-a-conservative. As time goes by, many traditional conservative voices begin to sound as petulant and silly as liberal progressive voices. I think both 'sides' of the political debate in this country are similar in one very important respect: they are both afraid of freedom. Libs and conservatives are big fans of certain kinds of freedom...just not too much and only the kinds of freedom they're comfortable with. Wouldn't do to have a society where people are free to do things you disagree with, would it? Ah well, disappointing but predictable.
