After the election I cried for the loss o f my country as I have known it since my youth and for my granddaughter and for the things of real value she will never know. I hope I am wrong but I fear we have passed the point of no return. This nation today bares no resemblance to what our forefathers gave us. We are only about 240 years old. Gibbon has sharpened his pencil and is already writing.

the calendar, of Nostradamus and his quantrants, and the Bible........end of days.......the Apolcolypse
all pointing to the threat comes from the east...........Iran & nuclear?? Lets hope not

Do subjective responses to our social, political, and economic concerns and actions benefit you? Will subjectives responses benefit your granddaughter?
What about responding to concrete stimulus?
Of the four demands made by we black people over the last 240 years all have concrete see-able and do-able.
All objectives completed within the 200 year old concrete constitution?

@pinenee
Subjective response? Clearly, you have No idea how the constitution reads. The
Amendments, just a select few, meet your needs very well. This nation was never intended to be a welfare state. Do I benefit from the status quo? Not really, the benefit to cost ratio is way to high on the cost side and I do not refer to just financial.

It seems every time the Republicans lose a presidential election, white board-toting architects and backroom strategists descend on the Sunday talk shows. Republicans must dump the social issues. Defending the right to life of unborn children and upholding the civil right of marriage is just costing too much support with the voters. We have to moderate our positions, they say.
