"on grounds that these schools do not mix and match the races the way that public schools are supposed to." On one hand this administration race baits and on the other they want inclusive communities. Go figure. Thanks for another superb article Dr. Sowell.

You can't figure. There is no explanation for an administration and Dept. of Justice who argue from both sides of the same coin. It really depends upon who the target is. The fact that Louisiana has a Republican governor plays large into this decision, I'm certain.

Agreed. And like a evil little child, the goal seems to poke any Conservative in the eye. Jindall, Perry and all are under constant attack, in every way, despite the immigration of Democrats from the failed economies of Democratically controlled States to theirs.
Sowell is always the first read, but it is a daily annoyance that millions never get to weigh his opinions.
Reasonable intelligent friends of mine are so mislead that they refer to Fox News as Faux Noise, joining in slamming Conservative thinkers. On our streets TH must be an unknown entity.
Reminds me of 'under the dome'.
Not even the sound gets out.

MHarris nailed it. We err if we try to analyze this administration on the basis of principles they adhere to. They have no principles other than self advancement. Perhaps that creates a subsidiary principle -- they will be in favor of any action that advances their group / Party and/or injures another.

Another example of "fairness" here in Arizona, with a Republican Governor, two RINO Senators, when we asked for federal disaster releif for the fire in Yarnell where 19 firemen died and 3/4 of the town was burned to the ground. Bozoama said NO the state had to pay for all the releif itself.
