John Please don't call McCain a hobbit. I like to think of them as good, rather than grasping for power in the stupidest ways possible.

I expect drivel like this from the left, and from less intelligent and less informed pundits of the right. You on the other hand, know better. The Neocons have completed their transition from pretended conservatives to Nazis.

The problem with the economy is that they have matched the velocity of money with the speed of thought of the punditidiotocracy. If they think any harder people may start undoing their recent transactions, demanding their money back, erasing their signatures from contracts...trading squash for potatoes...compressing currency into large bricks so that the fire will last all night...

Can Bernanke Force Banks to Lend?

Mish, it seems that in the years leading up to the housing crisis banks didn't even care about the credit-worthyness of their borrowers. I understand that this was partially forced upon them by foolish laws and backstopped by Fanny & Freddy etc. Yet lend to uncredit-worthy borrowers they did, and in enormous amounts. Your argument is absolutely rational but is still refuted by recent events.

In Search of Conservative Leadership

There was someone running for president who consistently advocated small government and personal responsibility. He was ignored and marginalized by everyone in power, by the socialists, communists and just plain lost fools who call themselves Democrats. He was also ignored and marginalized by nearly all of the Republicans, particularly those who have been in power recently, the neocons. The only presidential candidate who has consistently called for an end to governmental and social insanity in my lifetime has been Ron Paul. If you can't find conservative leaders, it is because we sweep them under the rug.
Good Job John, easily readable non-specific explanations of Dodd-Frank written for the layman are still in incredibly short supply. I think all patriotic Americans should always refer to it as FrankenDodd, since it is a stitched together monster that hates mankind and will kill us if we let it. Maybe Obamacare should be called FrankenPelosiReid. FrankenReid? Pelostein?
A good sign but rather than a light at the end of the tunnel it is more like pinprick far in the distance. One district, at least temporarily bettered, and about 14,000 to go.

The Last Socialist in America

Most of us thought that socialism would die with the Soviet Union. It is alive and well in almost every country in the world. The GOP doesn't want to make the government smaller any more than the Libtards do, they just want to ease-up on how fast it grows. You have done so well John, it is a sad thing to see that you are drinking the kool-aid like the rest.
Good work Ransom. Can we expect any books out of you?

Socialism by the Dose

Good call Paul. Another million articles like this, each a little harder hitting than the last, and we might just make a dent in the pointy little heads of the brainwashed socialists that currently include nearly the entire population of the world. But I doubt it.
