How does reparative therapy work ? Reparative therapy is rooted in cognitive therapy has proven effective in treating patients with anxiety, chronic depression, suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, phobias, etc. The word Cognitive comes from the word knowledge and these therapies explore: How the thought affects mood, behavior and physical reactions. The therapist in collaboration with the patient explore the roots that cause changes in emotions that are a direct influence on the individual intrinsic problems of depression, anxiety, etc and it seeks the root cause of the problem in this way to fix it.The therapeutic counselor aims to achieve a quality of life and a balanced healthy affective-emotional balance so this therapy is safe reliable

The gay lobby supported by the current government of California is seeking to discredit the therapy. If you pay attention to the bill wording, it is written in an effort to dictate the State knows better than does the patient, doctor, or responsible party (parent or guardian) about ones sexual orientation. This is not mean to provide but remove any and all assistance for confused youth who reside in California. SB 1172 reads, "Under no circumstances shall a mental health provider engage in sexual orientation change efforts with a patient under 18 years of age, regardless of the willingness of a patient, patient's parent, guardian, conservator, or other person to authorize such efforts."

This is an absolute outrage, and every...
