Over the years, we have watched as a thousand of these organizations with lofty names found their way into the Democrat money laundering scheme. Republicans are guilty of this too, but I think we have to draw the line when government begins using taxpayer dollars to fund organizations that are political. I'm pretty sure there's a law against it, but PBS gets a wink and a nod. We know ACORN is. Organizations like PBS stand by and watch ACORN play purely political games, help strangers start prostitution rings, and then think they won't suffer. These types of organizations must be some of the first to begin feeling the squeeze. Maybe the others will watch their Ps and Qs.
Mitt Romney sure ruffled a lot of feathers over his proposal to eliminate taxpayer funding for government-sponsored TV. As soon as the GOP presidential candidate singled out PBS for cuts during the presidential debate in Denver, the hysterical squawking commenced.

Left-leaning celebrities immediately erupted on Twitter. "WOW!!! No PBS!! WTF how about cutting congress's stuff leave big bird alone," Whoopi Goldberg fumed. "Mitt is smirky, sweaty, indignant and smug with an unsettling hint of hysteria. And he wants to kill BIG BIRD," actress Olivia Wilde despaired. "Who picks on Big Bird!!! #bulliesthatswho," actress Taraji Henson chimed in.
