When will you lefties wake up and recognize reality? -The vast majority of firearm deaths are gang/criminal related. Exactly what law will force them to give up the tools of their trade AND/OR not use them? -Exactly how much more effective will a total ban on firearms be, given our resounding success with such efforts as Prohibition and the war on drugs? -Do you really think that all the recent gun buyers are likely to turn-in their new weapons if ANY restrictions are imposed? Not to mention the 300 million weapons that are already in public circulation. Time to use that appendage on your shoulders.

In Sunday's New York Times, Elisabeth Rosenthal claimed, as the title of her article put it, "More Guns = More Killing." She based this on evidence that would never be permitted in any other context at the Times: (1) anecdotal observations; and (2) bald assertions of an activist, blandly repeated with absolutely no independent fact-checking by the Times.
