Remember that the IQ measure is set by definition so that 100 is the mean score. Given liberalization of the voting franchise, half of the American electorate now has an IQ under 100. Add to that the leaches who suck the teat of government, and it is very hard to see how capitalism -- with its reward to intelligent, industrious wealth-producers -- can long survive in this country. America's prosperity was built at a time when there was a restricted voting franchise. Let the cuckoos in and the nest is spoiled.

The political slogan "Forward" served Barack Obama well during this year's election campaign. It said that he was for going forward, while Republicans were for "going back to the failed policies that got us into this mess in the first place."

It was great political rhetoric and great political theater. Moreover, the Republicans did virtually nothing to challenge its shaky assumptions with a few hard facts that could have made those assumptions collapse like a house of cards.
