Lisa, you are off base....way off base. Is it compassionate to enable broken families, drug abuse, and alcoholism? That is what throwing money at problems and making cooing sounds does - that is the liberal position however. Is it compassionate to offer welfare and social programs that encourage single mothers with multiple kids they can't take of? Is it compassionate to pass kids through school that can't read instead of demanding they learn and educate themselves? Wise up and understand that compassion is not the problem. Liberalism is.
Ever since 9/11 I have believed that we should pursue an economic war against the middle east. We have the resources and we should use them. We need to become the largest energy producing country on the planet (we are almost there if BHO will just get out of the way), while also pursuing R & D to develop a cheap, prolific, available energy alternative that will make oil obsolete. That way the Saudi Royal Family and the rest of the Middle East can go back to herding camels for a living and no one will care what happens over there. After 30 years of military service with 3 tours in combat in the Middle East, I see no reason for another life to be lost for glorified camel herders. Let them eat oil!
Perhaps, and perhaps not....due to Lincoln's prosecution of the war against the South we will never know. But another of the many possible outcomes would have been the North not prosecuting the war, and letting the South secede peacefully. Multiple catalysts all ready existed inside the Confederacy that would have seen slavery end in the next couple of decades without killing a generation of men from the South and North. Also, by Lincoln upholding the Constitution as a voluntary contract, willing entered into by the individual States, and voluntarily exited by the Confederate States, perhaps that attraction that was there in 1776 would once again have prevailed - only with States rights preserved and the Constitution as written upheld. Only God knows what would have happened and only Lincoln and his supporters presume to know different.
No diff between DNC and RNC....just a difference in who gets the money and power. We are a functioning republic no more.

Don't forget Mike Lee. Good man.
And Rubio votes against the border fence amendment.....it is time for the Tea Party and all the "I'm mad as h#ll and I'm not gonna take it anymore" Conservatives to publically and aggressively repudiate Rubio and distance themselves from him and his RINO ilk!
Fascist statism won and the American Republic lost Aura....and we are all the less for it.

So let me get this straight. Just because it will be hard to do, we should just roll over and ignore this criminal action? Wow, that is truly noble and inspiring.
